Montana Woman Kept Machete in Hands While Having Sex with Victim

On Friday, Great Falls police arrested Samantha Ray Mears, a 19-year-old Montana woman who, allegedly, forced herself upon her former boyfriend.

According to the police report, while the unidentified man was away at work, Mears broke into his Great Falls home and waited for him to get back.

When the man returned, the Montana woman placed the machete against his neck and ordered him to remove his pants. Fearing for his life, the man removed his clothes and climbed into bed.

After that, according to the victim’s testimony, Mears also removed her clothes and climbed on top of the man. Mears kept the blade close by all this time, threatening to kill the man if he didn’t do what she wanted.

The male victim told the authorities that after Mears finished having sex with him, she sat naked on the couch near the bed, staring at him.

The man took out his phone and snapped a couple of pictures. All the photos show Mears naked and grasping her machete.

According to the police report, the suspect had been released from prison two days before the incident after posting bail. Ildephonse had been arrested in connection with a stabbing that occurred last month.

Two days after getting out of prison, Ildephonse, wearing only a bathrobe at the time, went to a Concord apartment.

June 20, 2018 By Angelina Stapp

jail

A Michigan woman was sentenced to prison for making up a campus rape story.

BEACON TRANSCRIPT – On Monday, Judge Joseph Sheeran sentenced Mary Zolkowski, a 21-year-old Michigan woman, to 45 days in prison. The woman has been charged with fabricating rape story. In addition to the prison time, Ms. Zolkowski was ordered to under psychiatric evaluation and seek counseling for substance abuse.

Michigan Woman With Fake Rape Story Changed Her Testimony Two Times, Authorities Declared

In early August 2017, Mary contacted her mother and told her that she had been sexually assaulted on campus. Following her mother’s advice, the Michigan woman contacted the authorities.

During questioning, Ms. Zolkowski told the investigators that she had been approached by an individual in Delta College’s parking lot and raped.

She also mentioned seeing only the hands of the assailant. Reportedly, the man fled to his car before she could turn around to see her face.

The Michigan woman said that she had been accosted and raped before, but not on Delta’s campus.

Interestingly enough, the Michigan woman refused to undergo a physical examination following her alleged encounter.

During another police interview, the woman changed her testimony, claiming that the sexual assault actually took place inside an apartment and that the attacker was an acquaintance. Of course, she apologized for the mix-up, saying that she had been distraught.

Another detail mentioned by the Michigan woman during her second police interview is that she reportedly had the intention of asking her attacker to stop.

However, according to her testimony, the individual finished and left before she could tell him to stop.

Conclusion

Last Wednesday, Zolkowski confessed that she fabricated the campus rape story in order to seek attention. And, on Monday, Judge Joseph Sheeran ordered her to spend a month and a half in prison. She was also ordered to seek substance abuse counseling and to undergo a mental evaluation.

The former police officer said the alleged victim was into rough sex.

BEACON TRANSCRIPT – Canadian County deputies arrested a former police officer who allegedly kidnapped and tortured a woman he met through an online dating application. Allegedly, the victim managed to contact the authorities from inside the kidnapper car’s trunk.

Former Police Officer Claimed Woman Was Into ‘Rough Sex’

On Tuesday, Canadian County deputies took 32-year-old James Otterbine into custody. According to the authorities, the El Reno resident is a former police officer. His contract with the Geary Police Department was terminated a month or two before his arrest for unknown reasons.

According to the police report, approximately two months ago, the former police officer met a woman from Miami through an online dating application.

After several weeks of exchanging messages, the two agreed to meet. Otterbine even offered to pay for her plane ticket.

The newly formed couple spent several uneventful weeks together before Hell broke loose. According to the woman’s statement, during an argument, Otterbine used a roll of duct tape to tie her to a chair. He allegedly knocked his victim unconscious during each session.

The victim also told the authorities that, one time, Otterbine locked her in the basement and forced her 10-year-old son to watch him torture his mother.

This Tuesday, the woman, who was locked inside the former police officer’s trunk, managed to call the authorities. However, the call got disconnected after a few seconds. Still, the emergency dispatcher got to track the caller’s ID and to contact the woman’s relatives.

Apparently, the victim managed to get the authorities on the line after escaping from the car’s trunk. The former police officer was arrested shortly after that.

Conclusion

Otterbine, who has been charged with domestic abuse and kidnapping, told the deputies that what he did was consensual. Moreover, the suspect declared that the woman was into ‘rough sex.’

Frogs Preserved in Amber Are the Oldest Evidence of the Species in Rainforests (Study)

June 15, 2018 By Angelina Stapp

The four frogs preserved in amber are the oldest evidence of these creatures living in rainforests.

BEACON TRANSCRIPT – Frogs have been around for quite a long time, but it turns out they occupied rainforests much earlier than we thought.

Researchers discovered four such frogs preserved in amber, and their age proved they have been living in their current habitat for at least 100 million years. The discovery is quite remarkable, since forest frog fossils aren’t so common, and researchers couldn’t tell when they first got established in these habitats.

Researchers Didn’t Know When Frogs Started Populating Rainforests

Frogs emerged on this planet around 200 million years ago, but researchers have never been able to tell when they first moved to rainforests. Today, this is their most common habitat, as there are over 7,000 frog species that populate them.

However, the creatures are small and easy to blend in, so finding their fossils in such a vast habitat has always been tough. This means one single thing. Without fossil evidence to support any claims, researchers couldn’t find out when frogs moved from a dry habitat to these wet tropical forests.

The Four Frogs Preserved in Amber Changed What We Knew of This Species

Fortunately, a team of researchers made exquisite discoveries in the northern region of Myanmar. There, they found four frogs preserved in amber, together with other resin drops containing other plants and creatures. For the first time, researchers could peek into the composition of rainforests during the Cretaceous.

Judging from all the amber pieces, they discovered that the rainforest in question was situated somewhere near a beach. It also probably had plenty of ponds and water sources. Therefore, the ancient habitat was quite similar to the rainforests of today. Then, the next step was to date the four frogs preserved in amber.

For this, researchers used some combined methods. They first looked at the geological pieces trapped in amber and then dated the other creatures as well. While they couldn’t identify all the characteristics of the frogs, they could see these specimens haven’t changed much throughout millions of years.

The study on the four frogs preserved in amber was published in the journal Scientific Reports.

California mom uses fake taco to distract robber.

BEACON TRANSCRIPT – Because there isn’t anything fiercer than a mother protecting her loved ones, we give you the story of a woman from California who managed to outsmart a gun-toting robber posing as an undercover agent. The incident occurred on Sunday in the City of Industry.

California Mom Distracts Fake Cop Going Through Her Purse

The heroine of this story is a mother of three who wished to remain anonymous. According to the California mom, at around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, she and her husband drove to a nearby food trailer to grab a bite to eat. The woman said that she spent most of the day at the waterpark with her husband and four children.

Now, this is where things get interesting.  According to the woman, while she and her family ate their meal next to their car, an individual approached them. The California mom declared that the individual looked ominous.

According to the woman, the man flashed a gun and told them that he’s an undercover police officer. He also showed them a police ID to prove that he’s really in law enforcement. However, the California mom quickly figured out that the individual wasn’t a police officer.

So, she started thinking about how to make the individual go away. According to the authorities, the woman offered the fake police officer a taco and told him that she must go to the food trailer to grab some napkins. All this time, the robber, later identified by the authorities as Juan Rodriguez, was going through the woman’s purse.

The California mum went to the food trailer server and calmly told him not to look in the direction of her car. She also told him that the man standing next to the van is trying to rob her family. The server called 911.

Conclusion

In a matter of minutes, Rodriguez was in custody. Apparently, at the sight of the police, Rodriguez tossed the weapon into the family van and attempted to drive off.
