Bum is a kitten from California born with an eye defect.
BEACON TRANSCRIPT – Nowadays, The Internet is all about cats. Cat memes, cat GIFs, cat picture and cat videos – one could say that this is the puurfect setting. A new picture spreading on the Internet shows us that even uncrowned kings of the feline kingdom like Colonel Meow and Grumpy Cat can be dethroned. Newest numbers show us that Bum’s becoming more popular than Grumpy cat.
There is something amiss in the kingdom of cats because the Internet is literally filled with pictures of another cute looking kitten that melts your heart. The newest uncrowned king of the felines is none other than Bum, a kitten from California which displays a worried face.
Bum the California kitten became a big hit on the Internet due to the fact to his crossed eyes and funny-shaped eyebrows. His eyebrows together with his crossed eyes make the kitten look very worried about something that is beyond human comprehension.
The worried kitten was adopted by Courtney Morman from the San Diego Humane Society. His owner has been working there for some time, taking care of abandoned house pets. The 24-year old Courtney Morman declared that is was love at first sight.
She also said that although Bum has an eye defect, he is in perfect health, a fact confirmed by Bum’s vet. Bum’s owner also added that the kitten is not even aware of her eye defect.
Courtney described Bum as being very playful and silly. Basically, he has a personality to match his funny looking face. Also, Morman said that the kitten is very shy when it comes to meeting new people, but one he gets to know them better, he resumes with his antics and shenanigans.
It would seem that Bum’s becoming more popular than Grumpy cat due to his forever worried face. Moreover, according to Courtney’s statements, Bum is very dedicated when it comes to caring for other animals. Because she’s working for the Humane Society, Courtney sometimes needs to bring abandoned pets home in order to nurse them back to health.
Bum would watch over them like careful father and even play with them. His owner also said that the kitten feels very comfortable around other animals, dogs included.
What more can we say? The internet discovered a new cat, which seems to gain in popularity pretty fast. Well, Bum is not as majestic as Colonel Meow or as expressive as Grumpy Cat, but he does have something very special.
In the ‘60s, there was another feline another feline called Clarence, which had the same eye defect as Bum.
