The unofficial listing gives some exclusive details on the next Destiny 2 expansion
BEACON TRANSCRIPT – At the beginning of this month, Bungie released the first expansion for Destiny 2, called Curse of Osiris. After great missions and an exciting story, the developer seems to be willing to continue with the expansions, as a second one might be on its way. According to some leaks posted by PlayStation Network before any official news, the second expansion is to come next spring.
The details on the second expansion are unofficial
The listing was unofficial, so it has already been deleted to avoid the leak of information. However, several quick Reddit users were able to see the name of the next Destiny 2 expansion – Gods of Mars. It should be out some time in Mars, and should bring new missions, new gear, open-world story features, an entirely new faction of enemies. Also, you should get more chances both to compete and play together with your friends.
The listing also revealed some details on the plot of the Destiny 2 expansion. Everything will take place, as the name says, on Mars, in the Frigid Vale. Here, Charlemagne has taken Rasputin prisoner, and is keeping him in a vault. Your main mission is to help him escape, and you will get precious help from Ana Bray, who isn’t actually dead.
Fans hope Gods of Mars would resemble the original Destiny 2 game more
This action seems to be based on a draft proposed for the first Destiny game. There, Rasputin was supposed to play a mail role. Osiris was another character who should have been in the game, as well as Charlemagne. Instead of sticking to this version, Bungie settled on the action we received back in 2014. Fortunately, it decided to revisit these old drafts and make way for them in the Destiny 2 expansions.
So far, Gods of Mars seems quite similar to the first expansion, Curse of Osiris. This can be both good and bad, but the fans seem more eager for the second one to be more similar to the full Destiny 2 game than its predecessor.
