Exercise keeps us healthy and makes life better and longer, studies show. People over 50 who went under a research study in Norway were shown that with a daily running routine they can expand their lives.
The analysis of 5.700 elderly in Norway revealed that those who exercise for at least three hours a week live five years longer than the ones who live a sedentary life.
This comes as no surprise, if we come to think about it, because most of us know that jogging and other kinds of exercise routines make us healthier, allowing toxins release, triggering blood circulation and efficient weight control. Sport keeps our minds in place too, with rushes of blood to the head allowing healthy transfer of substances throughout our bodies.
Physical activity must be something we invest time in, as it strengthens our bodies and keeps us healthy. Analysis indicated that we need more than an hour a week to stay healthy. Studies showed that less than an hour of exercise a day is irrelevant for health improvement but more than an hour decreases the risk of death from any cause with 56%.
Subsequently, doctors revealed that the differences between those who are used to practicing a constant exercise routine and those who live a static life are enormous. The second category is much more exposed to the risk of heart failure and strokes. Without exercise, our bodies weaken and our immune system becomes more vulnerable. Researchers highlight a very important aspect with their study, namely the need to practice sports and to move more our bodies, in order to keep ourselves healthy.
Information is based on researched data from a number of 26.000 men born between 1923 and 1932, invited for a health check in 1973. The subjects were exposed to analysis after they had their height, weight, cholesterol and blood pressure assessed and were asked about their activity levels.
From the total number of patients, 6000 of the surviving were checked again in 2000 and followed-up for 12 years to reveal whether their physical activity level over time presented a lower risk of death. Volunteers who were part of the study after its relaunch in 2000 were the healthiest survivors of the original study group.
Facts lead to the conclusion that keeping a healthy exercise routine, with over an hour performance daily, can make our lives last for longer. Also, jogging keeps the body fit and help us get rid of all toxins caused by unhealthy diets, stress and other factors.
