In the past, Sony managed to dazzle us with all sorts of cool gadget, suited for all of your entertainment needs like portable speakers, gaming consoles, home surround systems and video solutions.
It would seem that the Japan-based company is on a winning streak, and it doesn’t want to give up so easily. And so, without further ado, here is the piece of good news that’s sure to screw a smile on your face.
Recently, Sony, the Japanese tech giant, has announced that it will be launching a whole new gadget on the market. The name of this awning new gadget doesn’t say much. Sony dubbed its new invention “Multifunctional Light”, which is kind of dry considering its capabilities.
According to the Nippon producer, the smart light system will be launched in the first quarter of 2016 in Japan. Unfortunately, Sony has refrained from disclosing further details about the price of the device, or when it will be shipped out to the United Stated or to Europe.
But these things are not very important right now. The most crucial aspect at the moment is to see how a little lamp can totally change your perception when it comes to syncing and integration.
On the first glance, the so-called smart light is no different than any overhead fixtures. It’s round, white and has a bulb in it. Nothing too fancy, might I add. But taking a closer look at it, we discover that the little gadget is much more than your typical lamp.
According to Sony, the device is fully capable of syncing with virtually any smart device it can find in your home. This mean that the lamp can pair off with your smart TV, smart air conditioner, laptop, tablet and smartphone.
Using this link, the device can actually adjust the air conditioner in order to create a pleasant atmosphere. And using its motion sensors, the Multifunctional Light can even turn on the TV when you enter the room.

The device is also outfitted with an intercom which lets you communicate with other members situated in adjacent rooms.
