Black Ops III Zombies for PS4 Receives a New DLC

February 5, 2016 By Clayton Meason

"Black Ops III Zombies for PS4 Receives a New DLC "

Treyarch recently launched Black Ops III Zombies Awakening for PS4, along with the new episode called Der Eisendrache.

BEACON TRANSCRIPT – Given any thought lately about a good, old, zombie mashing game? Well, if the first things that popped into your mind were Dead Island or Dying Light, then you should do well to forget about them. Black Ops III Zombies for PS4 receives a new DLC called the Awakening, taking the zombie gutting experience to a whole new level.

Killing zombies seem like fun, most of the time until things get stale. Everybody hates it when you get to know what kind of zombie is coming for you and what weapons to use against it by hearing its moans. When that happens the games become boring at best.

But what if I told you that you won’t have to put up with that experience? What if there is a game that not only allows to hack up zombies, but you can also ask the help of your bud to do the killing with you? Well now you can do that, and all within the confines of the fast-paced, mind-blowing, bullet-spraying Call of Duty Universe.

Treyarch, the mother of the Black Ops sage, has recently announced that the third part of the critically-acclaimed multiplayer zombie killing game will be coming to PS4. Moreover, the game will be accompanied by 4 new maps and, of course, the next episode of Black Ops III Zombie, entitled Der Eisendrache.

As usual, gamers will be free to explore the map, searching for stuff and killing waves upon waves of ugly-looking zombies. Furthermore, Treyarch even managed to surprise us with one of the maps. Rise is the name of one of the maps featured by the new DLC. The name doesn’t say much, but the flag of the Third Reich hanging over a castle in Zurich may arouse the gamers who cracked a lot of skull in Wolfenstein, The New Order.

The other maps are called Skyjacked, with is basically a spin over after Hijacked, with enhanced graphics and fast-actioned gameplay. Another one is called Splash, which features underwater battles and environment exploration.

The last one featured by the DLC is called Gauntlet. The map actually consists in three separate environments, including sub-arctic regions, jungles and abandoned cities.

Black Ops III Zombies for PS4 feature a new DLC, and a new episode called Der Eisendrache. Game-wise, things seem to have remained unchanged since the last installment of the game. Apart for one small detail: bows that you can use in order to obliterate hordes of mindless zombies. Yes, you are now able to punch a whole inside the dead bugger’s skull and also vaporize his mates with one single blow. If you want to see the bow in action, check out this smooth deathmatch.

And because the guys from Treyarch are cool, they’ve even included more Easter Eggs in the games. If you want to try them out for yourself, here’s a video that shows how you can unlock all the DLCs found in the game.

COD Black Ops 3 Is the Best Game of 2015

January 15, 2016 By Troy G. Bennett

"Call Of Duty Black Ops 3 poster"

Black Ops 3 is the twelfth installment in the Call of Duty franchise.

BEACON TRANSCRIPT – According to the NPD, COD Black Ops 3 is the best game of 2015, the Call Of Duty third part ranking first both in the top 10 bestselling games of 2015 and top 10 bestselling games in December. It seems that war and sports games are still the public’s favorites.

Developed by Treyarch and Activision, the Call of Duty franchise is a first-person shooter video game that focuses on the story behind real war events. The action of the first three games in the franchise takes place during World War II. Modern Warfare, which is the fourth game, takes place in the Middle East in modern times. The following World at War and Modern Warfare 2. Black Ops are set in the Cold War.

With Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops II and Call of Duty: Ghosts, Treyarch and Activision wanted to bring something new to the fandom, the timeframe of the game being set somewhere in the near future. In other words, history becomes dystopia when it comes to the plot.

But the focus last year was set on Black Ops 3, which is the twelfth game released in the Call of Duty franchise. Its action is set around 50 years into the future, following the story of the previous Black Ops II. In this story, the world is still at war, only technology is the prime weapon of choice.

The player has to engage in battle with robot super soldiers, humanoid drones and other technologically advanced weaponry and defense systems. As the title suggests, the game follows a team made out of black operative soldiers whose mission is to prevent an eventual robot uprising.

Other games in the top 10 bestselling are the latest from Madden NFL, NBA, FIFA, and that says a lot about the tendency to enjoy sports on your computer or console, the much awaited and acclaimed Fallout 4, GTA V, Mortal Combat, Star Wars Battlefront and, to the surprise of many, Minecraft.

The presence of Minecraft in the chart came as a surprise because it was released on all types of consoles, computers, phones, tablets, everything a couple of years ago. But the game is still a bestseller. Which proves kids these days still have some imagination left and prefer virtual building blocks over a sappy adventure game.

But COD Black Ops 3 is the best game of 2015 because war, war never changes.
