Elon Musk Is Set To Revolutionize The World

He is set to revolutionize the world with the new, gigantic factory placed in the Nevada desert.

Tesla’s Elon Musk is up to something. He is set to revolutionize the world with the new, gigantic factory placed in the Nevada desert. The factory is worth five billion dollars. And it aims to produce high-performance lithium ion batteries by 2018, for Tesla.

CEO Elon Musk and CTO JB Straubel have invited a large group of people to reveal their vision for Tesla. They got the crowd so excited, people cheered and shouted out, overwhelmed with joy and mesmerized by the bold promises made by the two Tesla officials.

The crowd was made, as you would imagine, of the company’s biggest supporters. The “grand opening” of the factory took place close to Reno, Nevada, even though the facility is not ready yet.

The event was partly broadcast on July 29th. It featured a press tour of the industrial complex, part of Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center.

Musk galvanized the company’s investors, customers, and VIPs with his speech. Among other things, he said the factory would revitalize manufacturing in the area. He also pointed out the place needs love and Tesla’s going to give it.

The mega factory is crucial to the company. It is an essential part of what Tesla wants to do – accelerating the world’s transition to clean energy. Tesla’s shares have gone up by almost two percent after the news was broadcast.

The factory should reduce the overall cost of lithium-ion batteries by over thirty percent. This will bring down the cost of Tesla electric cars. Without this kind of investment, Model 3 by Tesla would not be feasible, at a cost of 35,000 dollars.

It is clear many things depend on the success of the facility. The intensity of the moment was felt by everyone present for the grand opening.

The factory measures six million square feet. At this size, it could house ninety-three Boeing 747 planes, or as Musk puts it – 50 billion hamsters.

He also pointed out that the size of the factory corresponds to the size of the world. The purpose is to shift focus from a carbon-producing world to a green energy producing world.

By 2018, the factory will make batteries in quantities large enough to power 500,000 electric vehicles per year. When the factory reaches full production, it will surge to 150-gigawatt hours of battery per year; that’s enough to power 1,5 million electric cars.

Tesla Motors Had a Hard Financial Year

February 8, 2016 By Troy G. Bennett

"Tesla Motors Had a Hard Financial Year "

Tesla Motors (NASDAQ: TSLA) experience a 26 percent drop in shares in 2016, and a 32 percent drop over the last three-months.

BEACON TRANSCRIPT – According to several financial analysts, 2015 was not a fruitful year for Tesla Motors (NASDAQ: TSLA). Tesla Motors had a hard financial year, and many Wall Street analysts are beginning to doubt that Musk’s company will be able to stay ahead of the major league players.

Well, it would seem that Elon Musk, the think-tank behind ambitious projects such as the Falcon 9 and the Crew Dragon, is currently focusing attention towards other venues like SpaceX, PayPal and Hyperloop. While this is not to be construed as a bad thing, due to the fact that SpaceX’s newest projects have the potential of saving NASA a lot of cash, it seems that the entrepreneur missed one important aspect: Tesla Motors.

Although Tesla has recently released a new electric car, dubbed Tesla X, according to a couple of sources, the company isn’t faring too well. In fact, more and more people are coming forward in order to protest about the newly-released car model.

Most of them are complaining about the delivery terms, more specifically about the company’s inability to honor all received orders. Moreover, several financial specialists are beginning to doubt that Tesla Motors has what it takes in order to produce the new electric car in greater numbers.

Unfortunately for Tesla Motors and for Musk, these voiced out complaints are beginning to show up in Tesla’s stocks. Since the whole scandal began, more and more investors have begun to withdraw their stock, leaving the company with little to no allies.

And according to a newly released report, Tesla Motors registered this quarter the highest 52-week low, approximated at around 157.74 dollars, compared to the other numbers that placed Tesla’s 52-week high at 286.65 dollars.

This can be interpreted in one way: that Tesla Motors registered a 15 percent loss each week.

Despite some of the critics out there who see only the empty side of the glass, there are others who are pretty optimistic when it comes to the company’s ability to get ahead of the competition. Concerning the company’s earnings, another financial report performed by FactSet, forecasted that Tesla’s adjusted fourth-quarter earnings will be 17 cents per share. This aspect might actually help the company counteract the 13 cent loss per share in the last financial exercise.

Tesla Motors had a hard financial year, but there are some out there who think that Tesla might get out of the woods.

In terms of revenue, it would seem that the carmaker reported a total revenue of 1.84 billion dollars, a sum which overshadows last year’s revenue of 1.1 billion dollars. And if things take a turn for the better, the company should report a 2 billion dollar revenue in the second quarter.

The company also experience a significant drop in shares. The same financial company stated that the Musk’s company experience a 26 percent drop in shares over the last year, and a whopping 32 percent drop in the last three months.

Musk’s Crew Dragon Passed the Parachute Test with Flying Colors

January 31, 2016 By Angelina Stapp

"Musk’s Crew Dragon Passed the Parachute Test with Flying Colors"

Crew Dragon uses 4 main parachutes and special drague parachutes.

BEACON TRANSCRIPT – Recently, Elon Musk and his company, SpaceX, wrote another page in the history book of space exploration. According to NASA, Musk’s Crew Dragon passed the parachute test with flying colors. If all goes well, we should see the Crew Dragon transporting astronauts to the ISS by the end of 2017.

Since NASA decided that space travel could be made feasible if civilian constructors are employed, everyone went over their head in order to secure a contract with the space agency. Although NASA had lots of contestants to oversee, it would seem that only two companies were selected to participate in the upcoming space project.

Boeing managed to raise some Hell with its space capsule, but it seems that Musk’s project take the cake, so to speak. What is Musk’s view on space travel? Sustainability and a very low price. According to the scientist, who is also the head of SpaceX, once we figure out how to reuse our space gear, we can look forward to more space missions.

This is what Elon Musk wanted to prove when he first began to talk about the Crew Dragon shuttle, a new type of spacecraft which will be carried into space by SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket. Moreover, despite the fact that even the carrier rocket is an impressive feat of engineering, it looks like Crew Dragon is by far the most impressive piece of technology.

Musk, the head of SpaceX, declared that in order to talk about crew safety, new fail-safe systems for shuttles and rockets must be designed. His company made the first step towards making the journey safe into space, by introducing a parachute system to the Crew Dragon space shuttle.

The parachute system is not an entirely new approach to landing protocols, as SpaceX introduced this concept over two years ago. However, since it was first introduced, the space company made extensive modifications to the deployment system and its sensibility.

A new test performed on the 27th of January, 2016, proved that SpaceX means business. Musk’s Crew Dragon passed the parachute test with flying colors. The space module features drogue-type parachutes which work alongside the 4 main parachutes. Here’s the video on Crew Dragon’s successful drop using the parachute system.

Apart from the parachute landing system, Musk is also experimenting with another type of engine, dubbed the SuperDraco hover engine. The tests began in November, last year, and the numbers look good. According to Musk, the hover engine will prove to be an asset for the astronauts who will attempt to land on Mars.

Musk’s Crew Dragon passed the parachute test with flying colors. If all goes well, Musk’s rockets will be space-ready by 2017, when they are scheduled to bring a full crew complement aboard the ISS.
