Some may wonder, what could possibly happen if Facebook gets dethroned or even how the debut of a fresh new rivalry will shed light on the sparks of a new love story: Facebook and Facegloria.
As you may very well know, todays’ society is ruled strictly by the social media surrounding us. Powerful and influential are the suitable terms, with which one may describe the character of today’s’ social media.
As time passes and technology flourishes, more and more members of our society start to become blinded by the strong grasp that modernization has on us. Nowadays, besides Twitter and Instagram, Facebook, of course, represents one of the hottest social media, due to the fact that it gives people the possibility to keep in touch daily through texting, video chatting and even allows one to share photos, music, and many more.
How is it even possible to not like Facebook? Apparently, it is indeed true. Although the popularity of Facebook has grown over the years, of course, there are many people that disagree with it and with its harmful influence on society.
This is the main reason why, people have even gone so far as creating their own personalized website that fulfills the exact same requirements, yet does not contain the same level of nudity and obscurity. We give you Facebook’s newest hot date and user stealing rival, Facegloria. It is within the country of Brazil, that members of an Evangelical Christian group have decided to launch a new social media network which is the exact opposite of what Facebook stands for.
It is a ‘sin free’ Facebook which allows one to escape any kind of inappropriate language and even the slightest references towards nudity and stereotyping. One of its main developers, Atilla Barros claims that Facegloria will never stoop so low as Facebook and that maybe it would be better ‘ creating a network where we could talk about God, love and to spread his word’.
Although Facegloria has been launched for only a month now and has attracted more than 100.000 people, the number of the members that keep on logging to the social network, seem to grow exponentially each and every day.
While Facebook urges one to ‘Like’ something and use immoral words, Facegloria on the other hand, renders people to detach of their sinful nature and instead, use the ‘Amen’ button to share one’s pure views.
Funny as it may even seem to some, creators of Facegloria believe that, although the road is long and full of obstacles, at this rate, the new social media network can grow into something even greater than Facebook. Question is, will it work?
