Shipments for the new models will begin somewhere in September.
Based on the company’s official announcement, the new Pebble Time Steel smartwatch is available for pre-order at $249. Clients, who want to be the first to get in possession of the new wearable are advised to use the online service and make purchasing reservations ahead of everyone else.
The Pebble Time Steel Smartwatch is expected to win many customers’ hearts due to its advanced technology and, more importantly, its attractive appearance. The producing company has taken all the necessary measures to prevent possible problems with online orders, so they are now offering users the possibility to pre-order the new model.
Customers won’t receive the watch as soon as they pre-order it. The producer has specified that orders will be honored within a 6-8 weeks’ interval. If you do the math, it turns out the smartwatch will start shipping in September. The starting price has been estimated at $249, but values may differ depending on shipment requirements and other technology specifications that customers may request for their pre-ordered models.
Competing against big smartwatch producers like Apple can be very difficult, but Android-based wearables like Pebble Time Steel could, nevertheless, win great market shares due to their technical specifications. The developer has explained that the Steel version of the Pebble Watch has a much longer battery life, lasting up to 10 days in comparison to its plastic predecessor, whose battery requires charging at every other seven days.
The first collection of Pebble Time Steel will come with a leather band, according to the company’s declaration. Towards the end of the year, the Steel version of the wearable will be released, giving customers the possibility to choose between the Italian classic model and the more modern, technologically advanced version.
Pebble Time has also prepared three types of finishes for their new models, namely, the Gold, the Brushed Silver, and the Gunmetal Black. The new steel bands will also feature three colors: gold, silver, and matte black. However, customers would have to pay extra $50 if they want the regular leather band to be replaced with a steel one.
