BEACON TRANSCRIPT – The Redmi 3 from Xiaomi was announced to be available this January, 12th, according to the Chinese company. The Redmi 3 will have impressive features at a far more impressive price, making the new phone a standing rival for giants such as Apple.
The New Redmi 3 from Xiaomi will feature a display of 720 pixels, it will be powered by a 616 Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor and will be equipped with an internal storage unit of 16G, that could be expanded, with the aid of a microSD memory card, to up to a total of 128GB. Unlike its predecessor, the Redmi 3 will have a battery of 4,100mAh which really takes the spotlight.
Selfie-enthusiasts will relish on the 5MP front camera that also features a f/2.2 aperture. The main camera of the model is 13MP with an aperture of f/2.0. The double SIM card slot can be repurposed, one of the slots being able to accommodate a microSD card.
The phone operates with a sort of Android version. It is an operating system based on the much-known Android but developed by Xiaomi especially for its phones. It quite resembles a Marshmallow 6.0.
The star battery will make the phone’s life more durable, but it also makes it a bit heavier and thicker than other similar products. But the problem will not be the extra weight that the Redmi put on, but its striking resemblance to Apple products, namely the IPhone. The front and back design are very similar, the only difference being the diamond pattern that Xiaomi opted for the back of its latest phone model.
Due to this resemblance, the company could encounter some patent problems if it decides to appeal to the American public. Especially considering the fact that another one of their designs, the second MI PAD, looked a lot like an iPad Mini. The only significant difference between the Apple products and those of Xiaomi is the price. The Redmi 3 from Xiaomi was announced to cost approximately $107.
Since the American market is rather out of touch for the developer, the only options left are Europe and Asia. The main competitor in the Asian continent is India’s Lenovo, a brand that has offered quality products over the years. Its sales in India are as high as giant’s Samsung.
The Redmi 3 from Xiaomi was announced for this January, 12th and will be available on-line.
