‘Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’ will launch on April 26th, 2016
BEACON TRANSCRIPT – Nathan Drake’s adventure will have to wait a little longer, as ‘Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’ gets pushed back another month by game-developer, Naughty Dog. Fans of the ‘Uncharted’ franchise are highly anticipating the fourth installment.
It’s said to be the last adventure of Nathan Drake, the final chapter that would put his thrilling story to an end. It will be a hard good bye for fans, but the studios are doing their best to make sure they create a proper send off. So, gamers will have to wait an extra 5 weeks for the PlayStation 4 exclusive.
The initial release date for ‘Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’ was announced for 2015. If that were true, players would be talking about how Drake’s story ended and the internet would’ve likely spoiled it by now. However, due to problems in production, it was delayed for the first time to early spring. The last installment of the ‘Uncharted’ series was set for March 18th, 2016, so at least three extra months of wait.
Fans will now be getting the opposite of a Christmas gift. ‘Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’ has been pushed back again. The new release date has been moved to April 26th, 2016. Studio Naughty Dog announced yesterday that Nathan Drake’s final chapter will just have to be delayed a while longer. The reason is understandable, if the words of Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley stand true.
The two directors released an official statement, bringing in the good news that the game is in the final stages of production. It’s on its path and on the road to becoming the end of the story they always intended and wanted their players to experience. However, the team has been working “incredibly hard to meet the challenge of closing out the game’s development”.
Unfortunately, there have been a few hitches in several key sequences within the game. They need to be polished a little bit more until they’re sure that players will be getting the epic and perfect ending Nathan Drake deserves. The team humbly apologized and asked fans of the series to wait just a little bit longer.
Until then, there is more time to re-play the entire ‘Uncharted’ collection before you will embark on the explorer’s last adventure. According to Naughty Dog, it’s their most ambitious installment in the series. It’s bigger than any other of the previous games, so it needs a bit of tweaking.
Perhaps the extra month of wait will be well worth it in favor of getting a bug-free game to conclude Drake’s story.
