BEACON TRANSCRIPT – BioWare announced the release of a patch for Mass Effect: Andromeda. The 1.06 patch should come with several improvements regarding performance, as well as better cinematics and, of course, bug fixes. The company declared that they had listened to the feedback and complaints and brought the necessary updates and enhancements.
BioWare listened to the players’ feedback
BioWare said that many players complained about experiencing issues with balance during combat. More precisely, they reported that certain weapons were not stable and efficient during higher levels of difficulty. This caused the players to rely on other kinds of gear which slowed their pace during the Gold and Silver difficulty levels.
As a consequence, the company decided to change the entire balance in multiplayer. The new patch should even out the performance of all weapons, and prevent players from lagging if they choose certain guns.
BioWare is planning to do this by changing the damage rendered by weapons like shotguns, pistols, or assault rifles. Also, they refined the system which offers you bonuses depending on the skills you have achieved and mastered.
Enemies also get a makeover
Besides adjusting the weapons, BioWare thought that changing the enemies would also make the gameplay more balanced. For instance, the Fiend will now sync-attack less often during Silver and Gold, while the Kett is less powerful. The Berserker should also be easier to beat, but the Sharpshooter and Hydra have become fiercer and more challenging.
There is one kind of enemy which did not receive an update, and this is the Remnant. However, BioWare declared that they would keep an eye on this type and, if anything gets out of control, they will improve its performance, too.
Mass Effect: Andromeda will become more interactive, too. The company decided not to keep dialogues in the background anymore, so conversations can now continue if a certain character has something more to say.
In the end, the patch brings special items for owners of Deluxe and Super Deluxe packs. The surprises include two Nomad skins, a Pathfinder outfit, and an exclusive pack which might be hiding a rare item.
