House Speaker John A. Boehner said that Barack Obama’s request for Congress to permit the military operations against the Islamic State failed short of what is really needed to defeat the group. The known Republican representative of Ohio bursts his sentiments that the president’s request is short of what it is expected.
He added that this action might not be enough to take control of the situation and to win against the Islamic State, known to spread terrorism acts in the world. He further said that this initiative from the president is only the beginning of the process and that there would be discussions from both parties on how to strengthen the authorization requested from them. The house speaker also noted that there would be complete hearings by the house committees on this issue, namely the Intelligence, Foreign Affairs and the Armed Services.
