BEACON TRANSCRIPT – Microsoft announced good news for the users of Windows 10 that are fans of gaming. The upcoming anniversary updates promise to offer the best gaming experiences out of Windows 10.
Microsoft declared that the Creator’s Update will make Windows 10 the best Windows for gaming. They are planning to introduce a Game Mode and also to release Beam, a Microsoft alternative to Twitch-style game broadcasting.
Unfortunately, there is not much information regarding the new Game Mode and its features, but the company teases that it will highly increase the gaming performance on Windows 10. The mode is already available in the preview build of Windows 10 but, since it has not been officially released it, it is probably not implemented and it will not make much of a difference to activate it at the moment.
Microsoft purchased Beam in last year’s August. The platform, although similar to the game streaming service Twitch, adds some new features. Beam allows the user to participate to the gaming experience they are witnessing and even play along.
Beam is bound to launch between March and May 2017 and will be available for both Windows 10 and Xbox One. The users will be able to use their Xbox Live accounts and are not require to install new software. Also, the Microsoft Arena updates are now available from Xbox. Microsoft Arena is a platform meant to bring together gamers for tournaments. This promises for the improvement of the social features.
However, these announcements only serve as teasers. They claim that these features are only a small part of what is to come at the final release of the Anniversary Update.
Overall, the features of the Anniversary Update that have been made public make up an impressive piece of work. It brings improvements from the former operating systems and offers a user friendly experience that is bound to be more efficient and reliable.
The new version of Windows 10 brings a few pros. The improvements of the start menu are welcome and simplify the experience of the user. The Action Center and Cortana also come to the help of the user and prove really useful. The upgrades on the Huge Edge browser are also a pro and Windows Hello is both easy to use and secure. However, a few improvements still need to be made, but they are surely going to meet the expectations with further releases and upgrades.
