This is not the first time a Google employee complains about the confidentiality policies of the company.
BEACON TRANSCRIPT– Google, one of the biggest tech companies has been sued by its own employee. A Google employee decided to sue Google due to the fact that the company has some confidentiality policies that prevent other employees from telling important information.
The Google employee that sued the company complained about the policies that prevent employees from disclosing information externally and internally. The product manager whose name remains undisclosed mentioned that there some pieces of information that need to be disclosed in order for products to have a better standard.
He also mentioned that no matter if the products have problems; the employees are not allowed to talk about them. He also said that these confidentiality policies are too strict and they violate California laws too. This is because they restrict the right to speak.
The problem is that Google employees don’t have the right to speak to their friends about the problems that appear in the company. The alleged accusations are contrary to the interests of the state and public policy.
Another problem that was reported by the Google employee was the fact that all of its colleagues are supervised by volunteer which report them if they disclosed any type of information tied to the company.
This lawsuit shows a totally different image of Google’s workplace which was believed to be a nice environment where everybody aspires to work. The Google employee mentioned that every employee from Google is not allowed to write a fictional novel about working in a Silicon Valley company.
This is not the first time a Google employee complains about the confidentiality policies of the company. This year, just three months ago, other employees complained about these policies and Google mentioned that it would talk about this problem with the employees.
The Google employee who decided to sue now mentioned that nothing has changed since the last complaint and that is why he sued the company. He mentioned that there are at least 10 violations of the state laws. Google hasn’t responded to the accusations on an official statement yet.
What is your opinion about the Google employees suing its own company? Do you think that those policies violate California laws?
