Google launches its own television streaming service called YouTube TV
BEACON TRANSCRIPT – Google have just launched their new service which they announced several weeks ago: YouTube TV. However, it is only available to purchase from New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and San Francisco. You can benefit from it even if you live in different areas, but you have to acquire the product from the aforementioned markets.
YouTube TV is actually a TV streaming service. To have access to it, you have to pay $35 every month, and you can benefit from more than 40 channels. Also, pay attention that you need a VPN connection to get the service working.
The VPN is needed only to prepare the setup, but the streaming service works better if you keep this connection constantly. For instance, you can try NornVPN or Private Internet Access, which are both non-expensive VPN services and they do a great job. There are also free VPN options, but they might not be exact enough to allow the setup to run as it should.
How to connect your YouTube TV account
First of all, get connected to a VPN service. As mentioned before, you have to do this only in one of the five cities which support the service. However, once you connect your account, you can use it anywhere. Then you have to enter the website of the streaming service, which checks that you are in one of the five cities. If you are, then it connects your account and you can start watching your favorite channels.
You can also do this from an Android device, but the process is a little more complicated. However, you can use a tricked GPS to make the app think that you are in one of the supported cities, so you would not have to go there to access the service.
You can trick the app with an Android phone
You have to enter the developer mode of your smartphone to access the location tab and modify it as you like, so this might be a little difficult. By using GPS Emulator to place you virtually in any location you want, and by using a VPN service from the area, you can make the YouTube TV app think that you are where it wants you to be.
A TV will keep all VPN records and you will be able to access live channels anytime. Android is again more complicated and you will have to do the entire operation every time you want to log in. However, this only happens for local channel streaming. You can watch other channels without any effort.
