BEACON TRANSCRIPT – The diaper company Huggies came up with the most heartwarming initiative. In an attempt to help parents with premature babies, they have released the smallest nappies that are especially designed for babies who weigh less than two pounds.
The new product is called Huggies Little Snugglers Nano Preemie Diapers. They are so small that an adult could fit one in one single hand. After performing intensive research, Huggies manufactured the soft diapers especially to protect the sensitive skin of premature babies and to stimulate a healthy growth.
Huggies are planning to do everything possible for the well-being of these babies. They launched the campaign “No Baby Unhugged”, through which they want to make sure that all babies receive all the hugs they need to grow up well and healthy. These nappies came as a solution for babies who suffer more harm from the fabric and size of regular diapers that are available on the market.
Thus, for a better care of premature babies, they undertook an extensive research where, among others, they interviewed nurses and neonatal care providers to see what they need to do to offer all the comfort that premature babies need.
They discovered that fasteners of a special size were the best parents could handle and a narrow absorbent pad could allow a baby lie comfortably with the arms and legs tucked in close. Also, they used softer materials than were used on regular diapers, to prevent the irritation of the babies’ more sensitive skin.
Eleanora Daireaux is the Vice President of Huggies in North America. She declared that their company aimed to help all babies grow up healthy and happy, especially the most fragile ones who needed a little more care for a normal development. They hope that, through their products, they can show their interest in helping neonatal intensive care units.
Thus, when they heard that premature babies needed special diapers, their skin specialists, researchers, experts in product safety and manufacturing teamed together to create the perfect nappies for these babies and made everything possible that, in just six months, they had them ready and available in hospitals and stores.
This sounds like a revolutionary idea that helps these babies for whom every minute counts. The only downside to the project is the fact that these diapers are only available for sale in the U.S., but those parents who are interested in buying some can order a pack online.
