BEACON TRANSCRIPT – After years of staying faithful to the same design, Apple have decided to take a major leap with the new iPhone 8. Given this huge improvement in their technology, the prices are also expected to rise. There already are a few rumors which might surprise you in the end.
Major redesign of the new iPhone
The iPhone 8 will be less similar to its predecessors, at least in terms of design. First of all, the rumors say that the new phone will lose the iconic Touch ID. It will not disappear completely, but it will be embedded in the screen, which will also feature a modern OLED display without edges.
This is not the only revolutionary change that iPhone 8 will bring. The overall performance will be better, as the new device will allow wireless charging and improved software, such a face recognition tool which would smash the markets with its novelty. Also, the phone will be more resistant to water or other shocks.
However, Apple made no official statement regarding iPhone 8, so none of these specifications is confirmed. Even so, we can still be sure that the new device will mark a huge progress that Apple have made with their technology. This spiced some rumors regarding the price which would make many people surprised.
The price is not as high as you might think
One would think that these major improvements in the technology would also mean a higher price. However, Apple might not choose a price which agrees with the increase in technology. Initially, there were some reports which indicated that the price would be situated somewhere around $1,000.
There is no need to worry, since the phone would not reach such a sum. It will be expensive, indeed, but it will not have a price that would scare the customers away. New rumors indicate that the iPhone 8 will be priced somewhere in the range of the recently released Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
More precisely, a device with a storage of 64 GB would cost around $870. This means that a device with more storage would get closer to $1,000, but it will not exceed this limit. Anyway, Apple have always decided to look at the competition before establishing the price for a new phone.
Now, the question is when iPhone 8 will launch. There are many reports on this subject, and the most recent ones place it around October or November this month. Until then, Apple has all the time to confirm many of the rumors which circulate about the long-awaited device.
