BEACON TRANSCRIPT – Monday, the sixth World of Warcraft expansion pack, was made available to the online community and players from across the world logged in to receive their new quest. From what veterans are saying, the new Legion expansion pack is so good that it could attract plenty of new players.
What’s the Deal with the New Legion Expansion Pack?
World or Warcraft is the biggest MMORPG and the one with the longest history. The game benefited from five previous expansion packs, the last one, Warlords of Draenor, being highly criticized by fans of the franchise.
Now, it seems that Blizzard decided to make amends for the failure of the previous expansion, making Legion a treat for all the fans, old and new, veterans and newbies.
There are plenty of new elements inserted into the Legion expansion pack, like the ability to level up to 110, as opposed to 100, new artifact weapons that are made for each of the specializations of the classes, a new demon hunter hero class, and the Broken Isles.
The Broken Isles come with ten extra dungeons, one more pending with patch 7.1. Blizzard planned three raids, the first one, The Emerald Nightmare, opening in three weeks, followed by a Stormheim patch that will come along patch 7.1 and The Nighthold that will be included in patch 7.2.
PvP elements were also modified. There is an honor system now that unlocks honor talents. Honor talents are earned by increasing the PvP levels, and they are activated only when players engage in player vs. player. The best gamers can even receive a prestige level that comes with cosmetic bonuses.
The action of the new Legion Expansion Pack takes place in the alternate timeline of Draenor. It all begins when Gul’dan is pushed through a portal to Azeroth to open a way that will allow the Burning Legion to participate in the War of the Ancients in far greater numbers.
While roaming the hidden vaults that he finds in the Broken Isles, Gul’dan stumbles upon the remains of Illidan Stormrage, Lord of Outland slain during the Burning Crusade. Archmage Khadgar then spots the Burning Legion’s return and rushes to warn Stormwind of the invasion.
