Following a road-rage incident, Lowell construction worker was shot dead by irate woman driver.

BEACON TRANSCRIPT – Lowell, Massachusetts authorities arrested a 20-year-old woman who allegedly tailgated two constructions workers and fatally shot one of them for being cut off during her lunch break. The woman bragged about shooting the man on her Facebook account, writing that she ‘tried to warn him’ that ‘he will receive a spanking.’

Road-Rage Incident Claims the Life of a Lowell Man

On Thursday afternoon, 34-year-old Marc Devoe, a Peabody employee, and his co-worker were driving near the Gallagher Intermodal Terminal whey they’ve realized that they were followed by a woman driver whom they’ve previously cut off in traffic.

Realizing that they were tailgated by the driver, later identified as 20-year-old Graciela Paulino, Devoe’s co-worker told the man to drive through the parking lot. Paulino followed, matching the Lowell construction worker’s maneuvers.

Devoe parked his car in an empty spot, with Paulino doing the same. Allegedly, the two drivers got out of their vehicles and begun arguing about the incident. At one point, Devoe’s co-worker recalls the man telling him to get back inside the car and leave because Paulino is ‘only a girl.’

The two went back and left, but instead of leaving, Paulino jumped on her back and continued following Devoe and his colleague. According to the man’s statement, upon arriving at a bridge, Paulino drove pass them, slowed down her vehicle, reached for something she had been concealing in her waistband, and shot Devoe in the chest.

Trying to catch up with Paulino, the Lowell construction worker crashes his vehicle into a barrier. Following the accident, Devoe got out of his car and took a few steps before collapsing. His co-worker called the authorities and performed CPR before the paramedics arrived to take the victim to the hospital.

Conclusion

Devoe would pass away two hours later. The authorities arrested Paulino on Thursday without incident, the woman being found hiding in a stairwell. The 20-year-old is being held in county jail without bail and has been charged with one count of first-degree murder.
