BEACON TRANSCRIPT – Milton Police Department is trying to identify an individual who broke into an East Milton home on the 7th of May. The Massachusetts burglar left the house as soon as he realized that he was being filmed. Before leaving, he made sure that the homeowner’s dog stayed inside.
Massachusetts Burglar Left Without Stealing Anything Police Claims
According to a post uploaded to Milton Police Department’s Facebook, an unidentified male broke in an East Milton home around 1:30.
The perpetrator knocked on a sliding door a couple of times before entering. Unaware that the owner of the house installed a surveillance camera in the kitchen, the man steps in and goes to another area.
Meanwhile, the homeowner’s dog leaves the house via the sliding door. The individual goes off camera for a couple of minutes.
When he returns to the kitchen, he covers his face, probably realizing that the surveillance camera was live.
According to the Facebook post, the individual left the East Milton house without removing a single item.
Probably the oddest part of the case is the burglar’s attitude towards the homeowner’s pet dog. Before leaving the house, the Massachusetts burglar called the dog, which was still outside.
After the dog got in, the carefully slid the door, making sure the dog doesn’t run away.
However, this still doesn’t buy him a ticket out of prison.
The authorities described the individual as a white male in his 30s. At the time of the robbery, the burglar wore tan cargo pants, a striped T-shirt, and a black baseball cap. He also had a pair of dark-colored gloves in his back pocket.
Based on the dog’s reaction, authorities determined that the individual might be a friend of the family or someone the canine met.
