Ubisoft will release Origin, the upcoming title in the Assassin’s Creed franchise
BEACON TRANSCRIPT – It has passed enough time since the release of the latest Assassin’s Creed title, so Ubisoft decided it was high time they had developed a new game in the series. They took all this time to refine their techniques and bring a new and revolutionary experience to their fans.
In 2015, Ubisoft released Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, and then went on a break with this franchise in order to rethink their ideas and come up with something exquisite for the next game in the series. It seems that the break is over, as the upcoming Assassin’s Creed is on its way.
Rumors on the upcoming Assassin’s Creed title
Some rumors indicated that the new game will be called Empire. However, WWG suggest that it will, in fact, bear a different name, Origin. They also say that the official release should take place at E3 2017. Besides, WWG came with more information. However, note that these are only rumors, so nothing is official yet.
Origin might have a different story structure, as it will be less linear than fans were expected. Also, it will follow the process of Assassin formation, so the characters will be more emphasized. However, their evolution will not be related to the progression of the story.
Also, the gameplay will offer more chances of exploration, as it comes with a much bigger map and the possibility of several side quests. Players will be able to engage in naval combat, as navigation is now available, but they will also be able to explore regions such as Egypt or Greece. Assassin’s Creed returns with a game more similar to Skyrim, as Ubisoft described it.
Therefore, Origin is soon to come. However, Ubisoft revealed no date for a possible official statement when they should announce the release of the game. Yet, it won’t be much until they present the long-awaited return of the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
