On April 21st, Samsung releases the new smartphones Galaxy S8 and S8+
BEACON TRANSCRIPT – In a few days, Samsung will release their long-awaited devices Galaxy S8 and S8+. The public cannot wait until the smartphones will be available on the market. However, Samsung also has some bad news for them. Bixby, the new smart assistant, will come without a voice control feature.
Samsung announced the exciting release on March 29th, when they organized a special event in New York City to present the upcoming devices. Their major breakthrough was the introduction of their first smart assistant, Bixby. This assistant was to come only on specific devices produced by Samsung.
The smart assistant comes without voice control
However, Samsung has recently revealed that Bixby will be launched with a little delay, so the first smartphones on the market will not benefit from the smart assistant. Also, voice control will not come at the time of the release. Bixby will offer all the other features available, but users will have to wait a little until they could control the assistant vocally.
They released an official statement which talked about this small delay. Thus, on the official release of the Samsung Galaxy S8 on April 21st, Bixby will benefit from the following features: Home, Vision, and Reminder. Sometime later this spring, Samsung will also roll out the Voice feature on Galaxy S8 smartphones.
Thus, if you buy a Samsung Galaxy S8 immediately after the release, you will have to be patient until you can enjoy the full Bixby experience. Still, it might be worth the wait, as Samsung had all the time to develop a sophisticated smart assistant.
More special features for Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+
Bixby is not the only feature that the new smartphones will bring. The company also presented their new Infinity Display. This is represented by a bigger screen which expands over the edges. Thus, they gave up on the classic home button and opted for the on-screen version typical for Android.
Moreover, the advanced security features are more effective in protecting the privacy of the user. The smartphones will feature a fingerprint scanner placed somewhere near the camera and the ultimate iris scanner. Thus, Samsung made sure that no one apart from yourself could access your phone.
You can already preorder the smartphones either online or at several retail agents. Galaxy S8 can be purchased for $720, while S8+ is a little more expensive, namely $850. Starting April 21st, they will be available everywhere in the United States.
