Steelers at Bengals Score: Live Updates, Game Stats, Highlights, Analysis for Week 1 AFC North Showdown

CINCINNATI — There could be an upset in Cincinnati. The visiting Steelers, aided by four Bengals turnovers, took a 17-6 halftime lead over the defending AFC champions.

Pittsburgh’s defense recorded three first-half interceptions by Joe Burrow, including Minkah Fitzpatrick’s 31-yard pick-six in the game’s opening minutes. The Steelers took a 17–3 lead after Mitch Trubisky hit Najee Harris on a 1-yard touchdown pass midway through the second quarter. The score was set up by DJ Watt’s interception of Burrow, who had not thrown many interceptions in the first half prior to Sunday’s game.

Cincinnati’s best player in the first half was running back Joe Mixon, whose 31-yard run on a fourth-and-1 play set up Evan McPherson’s second field goal just before halftime. Mixon rushed for 67 yards on 15 carries in the first 30 minutes of the game. The Bengals suffered a loss as receiver Dee Higgins left the game after taking a hard hit. Higgins left with a concussion.
