Southern Mexico authorities might have stumbled upon what they believe to be one of the few cases of cannibalism in the last decades. According to Taxco authorities, upon investigating the disappearance of a 25-year-old woman from the same town, the law enforcement officers discovered her dismembered body inside the kitchen, some of them stuck inside pots.
Could Taxco Woman Be the Victim of a Cannibal?
The latest femicide which seems to plague the southern Mexico town of Taxco seems to have been authored by a cannibal. Upon investigating the disappearance of 25-year-old Magdalena Aguilar Romero, the authorities stumbled upon a grisly scene.
The woman was last seen on the 13th of January leaving her Taxco house in order to pick her children from school. On Monday, upon entering her home, the investigators were greeted by a nauseating smell originating from the kitchen.
Upon investigating that area of the house, they’ve discovered several pots containing human body parts, water still boiling inside them. Right next to the kitchen stove, the investigators also discovered a fully cooked pelvis wrapped in a burlap sack.
The madman who chopped and cooked the woman stuck the rest of her boy inside the refrigerator. Robert Alvarez of State Security that this one of the cruelest murders that ever struck the town of Taxco and that the perpetrator will be apprehended and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
The investigators have reasons to believe that the Taxco woman might have been murdered by Cesar Gomez Arciniega, the woman’s ex-husband. However, at the moment, the authorities have refused to offer additional details regarding the case.
After hearing of the Taxco woman’s murder, the town’s governor declared that this type of events can irreversibly affect the municipality’s image and that efforts are being made to solve this case with the utmost dispatch.
