TJ Maxx Drops Yeezy Brand Amid Kanye West Fall

The list of companies severing ties with artist and designer Ye continues to grow, with the DJ Max clothing line being boycotted.

The decision follows similar moves by Cape and Foot Locker to pull Yeezy merchandise from their stores. Gap said it has also shut down Adidas on Tuesday Ended partnership with YehHe legally changed his name from Kanye West.

“At TJX we do not tolerate discrimination, harassment or hate speech of any kind. We have instructed our buying teams not to sell these items in any of our stores globally,” the retailer said in a statement emailed to CNNBusiness on Wednesday.


The companies operate popular off-price retail chains such as TJ Maxx, Home Goods and Marshalls.

These chains have changed increasingly popular In the current inflationary environment, they buy unwanted or surplus inventory from suppliers and retailers and sell it to luxury brands like Gucci, Chanel and Prada and at lower prices.

And with retail chains announcing that they will no longer sell Yeezy-branded products, they are likely to run out of space to sell those items.
