The woman was suffering from an aggressive form of breast cancer
BEACON TRANSCRIPT – An emotional moment brought tears to everyone’s eyes at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut right before Christmas. A woman suffering from terminal breast cancer exchanged wedding vows with the man she loved right on her hospital bed. Then, she lost the battle with the terrible disease less than 24 hours later.
The woman received a breast cancer diagnosis one year before her death
Heather Mosher met her husband David at a dance party in 2015, and immediately fell in love. Shortly after that, they became inseparable, and the two knew they had found the love of their lives. Unfortunately, the woman received a dire diagnosis on December 23rd, 2016.
She found out she was suffering from breast cancer, but David decided to ease her suffering. On the exact day, he proposed. He arranged for a carriage to be drawn by two horses, and they went on a beautiful ride together. Only a week later, she discovered the disease had already reached an advanced state.
Her last words were her wedding vows
On September 2017, the disease had reached her brain, and her chances of survival were slim. The doctors were afraid she wouldn’t live past October, but she surprised everyone with her strength. However, her health state slowly got worse over the past few months.
The couple had set the wedding date for December 30th, but the doctors were afraid Heather wouldn’t make it till then. Therefore, they moved it on December 22nd. Less than 24 hours later, on December 23rd, Heather passed away, exactly one year after receiving the diagnosis.
The emotional moments have been captured by her bridesmaid, who admired how she fought for her last days to be the most beautiful she had lived. Her family and friends, as well as her husband David, are going to miss her dearly, but they are all glad they could meet such a beautiful human being. The last words the uttered where her wedding vows, so she died happy and content.
